Model e-Chill RCU-200:
Some of the key features of this 20 ton RCU unit are:
- Indoor or Outdoor Rated.  Unit is weatherproof
- Ambient Temp Range:  -20F to 120F ambient temperatures.  Important:  If you are a manufacturer and put your chillers indoors, our outdoor approved unit may help you immensely.  It is not uncommon that some plants get over 95F in the summer.  Never buy a chiller unless you know it's high end ambient range.  Many of the discount overseas made chillers have an upper limit of 95F or less.
- Flow Switch to safeguard chiller in event of flow malfunction.
- FreezeStat to safeguard your chiller and exchanger in the event of unsafe low temperature condition
- LARGE reservoir tank.  This unit has a
116 gallon
insulated tank.  The large insulated tank provides a buffer/ "thermal flywheel" to minimize frequent starts and stops of the compressor - this "short cycling" is the cause of early death for many chillers, especially if your load varies or you sometimes only chill are partial, lower heat load.  If your load can often "spike" temporarily in temperature, you want a large tank too.
- Pump with Stainless wetted surfaces.  Prevents rust in your water or water/glycol mix.
- R410a refrigerant.  This is newest and greenest and high performing refrigerant.  The "blends" out there (like  R407c) simply don't perform as well, and are mainly used by manufacturers who wanted to make minimal modifications to their old R22 designs.
- Outstanding USA support by the engineers who build the RCU series as well as KIG based in the Northeast. We have worked on dozens of different brands, hundreds of different applications, and our head technician worked in the field for 20 years installing chillers as well as taught HVAC at a trade school before settling in here at KIG's chiller business.
