    This deerseeds mix contains,
Ladino Clover, Medium Red Clover, Crimson Clover, Chicory,
Forage Rapeseed and Purple Top Turnip.
This seed mix can be planted without tilling the soil, no plow needed.
The seeds need to make soil contact and need moisture to germinate.
All these varieties are recommended for deer food plots and have high protein and nutritional value to grow a strong healthy herd with larger racks. The Clovers and Chicory are perennials and will return for years once established, the Rape and Turnip brassicas provide tasty fall forage and are used in many food plot mixes. These quick growing annual brassicas help protect the perennial clovers and chicory while they become established.  W
    hen food is scarce i
n winter, deer will dig up turnip roots.
If a soil test for clover is not available, it is recommended to add lime.
Cut grass and/or weeds as low as possible, or spray existing vegetation with an herbicide (i.e., Roundup) to rid the area of weeds and grasses. Follow the herbicide label directions and wait the required number of days before seeding. Clear debris to expose soil.
If possible, rough up the area with a rake or other tool.
Seeds just need soil contact and moisture to grow.
Spread, broadcast seeds. DO NOT disc seeds into the soil or fence drag after broadcasting seeds,
planting too deep will prevent germination,
plant no more than ¼ inch, or plant un-covered.
Do Not plant any type of seeds in hot-dry weather.
